We bought a bright yellow Bumbo seat for Mika yesterday, finally! Good deal I suppose.. RM139.90 at Little Whiz Setia Alam, cheapest in the market so far.
I know it's only a matter of time that Mika will outgrow the tiny seat but he just looked so happy in it at the showroom that I couldn't resist.
My dad wasn't too happy with it though.. he said membazir.. if only I saved the money in Mika's account.. for once, something that I consider membebel had actually registered in my head!
Then it hit me - I have been contemplating of getting that super cute Beaba Babycook to help me prepare Mika's first solids.. I was even thinking of getting the whole set, with a pair of matching cutlery, storage silicon, lunch box, etc.. that will cost me about RM800? Not that there's no alternatives.. there's Bebedelice (also French!), BabyPro by FirstYears, etc... that are much cheaper and do the same thing.. except they're not as physically attractive as the BabyCook.. *frown*
(always been a fool for looks, you'd be surprised on how much money I've paid for a nicer looking handphone, camera or other gadgets!)
Anyway.. back to what my dad said to me and how I relate that to the whole babycook story, what I'm going to do is.. I'll try my best to consider cheaper alternatives for as long as they're equally durable and serve the same functions, and save the difference into Mika's bank account!
Or.. if I ever consider (or really want to) buying more merepek stuffs like the Bumbo seat, I'll ask for second opinions and if we really don't need it, I'll save the money into Mika's account as well.
Wiser, right? See told you, this is the spanking new me :)
